Rebekah Renford recently graduated from the New Media Design and Web Development program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and has received a Senior Management Certificate with Honours. Being only 20, her only work experience is at McDonald’s as a Swing Manager. Rebekah is new to the new media industry and hopes to continue to learn even more outside of school and on through many years to come. Graduating from Sardis Secondary School in Chilliwack in 2006 and then continuing on to the University College of the Fraser Valley for one semester, Rebekah continued to have passion for computers and the web. This passion has only grown and taken over her life in Rebekah’s time at BCIT.

In October 2007, Rebekah received the Apple Canada Inc. Entrance Bursary at BCIT as she continues to strive for excellence in everything she does. The hardest challenges for Rebekah has been trying to keep up with her classmates who already had mountains of knowledge before entering the program and trying to learn more than the curriculum outlines on her own time.

Rebekah has often been described as someone who is a down-to-earth, hard-working person who constantly has the willingness to learn and is always striving to exceed expectations. She is also a team player, organized, adaptable, committed and efficient.
