What you’ve been looking for…

How to get your customers back (the easy way)

I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who’s had a completely flawless experience with Telus. And I’m pretty sure Telus has lost a lot of customers for their unchanging ways of arrogance, inconvenience, and not-so-great customer service.

So… in the eyes of Telus, how would you attempt to regain your customer base? Well you COULD go about the hard but more rewarding way of regaining their trust and respect through many different facets. OR you could, say, just create a new service provider?

Some of you may have noticed in the recent year or so that a new mobile service provider has come out of THIN AIR with more ads in all mediums than is countable (seriously I can’t turn around or turn on the radio with seeing or hearing about it). It’s called Koodo.

And guess what. Koodo? Owned by none other than Telus.

Get your customers back the easy way by fooling them into something bigger and better that is really just you with a new hairstyle. Woohoo!

  1. Bernard Said,

    Hey Rebekah,

First the disclosure. I do work for Koodo Mobile.:-)

I totally understand where you coming from re your comments on TELUS! I do hope that we can show people
we are not just “something bigger and better…with a new hairstyle”. Apart from the network that we operate
on (Bell’s and TELUS’) we are a relatively small group operated independently, with our own philosophy and approach. Hence the no contract, no system access fee etc. plans. Customer service is also a crucial area for
us and we will keep our ears close to the ground to see where we can improve. So, if one day you do become
a Koodo Mobile customer and have suggestions let me know.:-)

  2. Nicole Said,

HA HA that’s an easy way for telus to make some money without having to actually improve “TELUS” customer service…just make a new company that doesn’t have a bad rep..and make it have good customer service…even if koodo does have good customer service etc…its WAYYYY easier for a company to make money off of customers this way instead of trying to actually WIN their CURRENT customers back and improve their CURRENT company’s rep. Seriously…I do this EVERYDAY for a living!!! My job is to win HP customers back! lol Does telus not have complaint managers? Of course it’s easier to just create a fresh new company with no bad rep but it’s more respected to actually put an effort into winning your current customers back and not taking the easy way out :D

  3. Dankoozy Said,

if I ever go to Canada i’m bringing an Iridium satellite phone. Would rather pay $1.50 per minute than give those scumbags any money. apparently rogers aren’t too good either. with their IMEI tracking and all.

  4. Rebekah Said,

    IMEI tracking?

  5. Dankoozy Said,

apparently rogers have some new data plans that only work when you use one of *their* branded Rogers phones. they do this by checking the IMEI number your phone sends to the network. if its not one of theirs then you pay through the nose. probably so they can charge you extra for ‘tethering’ or something. There’s a thread about it on Howardforums. You could unbrand a rogers phone or change the IMEI but that’s kind of hard.
